When we want to create expandable and collapsible content in WordPress we use the Collapse-O-Matic Plugin. We choose this plugin because it’s authored by people who have created multiple other plugins, it’s regularly updated and has a good review rating.  It’s not the most straight forward of plugins, it doesn’t come with a streamlined user interface.  It does however have a short code that’s easy to use and allow multiple expanding and collapsing elements per page.

[expand title=”This is an example of expanding and collapsing content”]Here lives my hidden content displayed when you click and hidden when you click again![/expand]

See this plugin in action.

In this video we’ll install the plugin, create expanding and collapsing content then test to make sure it all works the way we want.
