Meet Connor!

Hi, I’m Connor Fallon the newest social media marketing intern to join the MayeCreate squad!

About Me

I’m originally from St.Charles, Missouri — also known as St.Chuck. I grew up playing sports my whole life while hanging out with friends and family when not in school. This is when I was first introduced to the world of marketing as I started my own firewood business at the tender age of 16.

I’ll admit, at the time, I didn’t have much of a clue as to what I was doing. My “marketing strategy” consisted of sticking picket signs in front of neighborhood homes with my phone number on it. Sophisticated it was not. Nonetheless, my “business” took off and I eventually started getting more advanced in my marketing efforts — advertising on social media — and in the process discovering something I was really passionate about.

Which was convenient timing as I was about to head off to college…

College Life

I had decided that the University of Missouri would be the perfect fit for me and my entrepreneurial spirit. Boy, was I right!

When I came here I knew business was my passion and was able to use that drive to excel in school and pursue my degree. While at MU I was also apart of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. I served as the recruitment chair and enjoyed the opportunity to meet tons of new potential members while going to baseball games and (many) float trips. My time at the University of Missouri has come to an end, but I leave it with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, many friends, and my latest business venture:

Save The Sea Turtles

In March of 2019 I decided to launch an E-commerce business selling sea turtle jewelry, while donating 30% of every sale in an effort to help save the sea turtles. The name of this exciting new business: “Save The Sea Turtles.” Creative, I know. Why start a company dedicated to preserving sea turtles in landlocked Missouri? Great question! Honestly, I don’t have a particular connection or profound reason for choosing this specific cause. One day the idea just came to me, and I’ve dedicated myself to chasing after the opportunity ever since. Advertising mainly on Facebook and Instagram, I’ve been able to steadily build the company, and I’m even looking into expanding to other platforms soon.

It may not have the heartwarming backstory you’d expect, but I have been able to make a difference! Check out my website here:

When not saving marine life, my favorite things to do BY FAR are snowboarding, wake-boarding and fishing. It’s the sense of freedom and possibility that these sports allow that really speaks to me. There is always a new trick, a new slope or new territory you can try and explore. You’ve never really “done it all.” If you haven’t experienced the thrill that comes from these sports (even fishing) I highly suggest you should!

My favorite spots to snowboard:

If you need recommendations of good spots to go whether that is for snowboarding, wakeboarding, or fishing, do not hesitate to reach out to me!

More About Me

What’s next for me now that I’m done school? Only time will tell, but I’m excited by the possibilities and by my new opportunity here at MayeCreate Design.

Meet Jason!

I’m Jason Vance the new photography and video intern at MayeCreate Design.

I’m a seventh generation Missouri farm boy, born and raised on a farm in mid-Missouri near Centralia. My great-great-great-great grandfather was the first man to plant wheat in Monroe County, Missouri. (Although, Missouri wasn’t a state yet.)

About Me

I’ve been drawn to visual storytelling and media my whole life. I started working in journalism while in high school. I wrote for the local newspaper, announced the school’s daily bulletin, was editor of the yearbook, and even worked as the public address announcer for sporting events.

After graduating from Centralia High School I attended the University of Missouri. I worked weekends for a year at KRES Radio in Moberly. I spent a summer as a reporter for the Columbia Missourian. For the last two years at MU I worked as a producer, disc jockey, and sports play-by-play announcer for the Zimmer Radio Group. A very busy, but exciting time.

I graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Agricultural Journalism. I worked as a radio farm broadcaster in Kansas, Tennessee, North Dakota, Illinois and Missouri. In 2007 I took a position with Farm Progress Companies as their Electronic Content Editor. In 2012 I became a Senior Information Specialist for MU Extension. Currently I am a graduate student at the University of Missouri, working towards a Masters Degree in Photojournalism.

More About Me

Now that you’re done reading my resume let me tell you a little more about myself!

I’ve always had a bend toward horses. In fact my parents met at a horse show! I produce a weekly radio program called “Let’s Talk Horses” that is carried on about 100 stations. It covers a wide range of equine topics from health and care to how to show horses on a budget.

I’ve been doing freelance photography (Jason Vance Photography) and video for several years specializing in portraits, news, and sports.

I am passionate about photography, and excited to bring my passion and skills to this new opportunity as a part of the team at MayeCreate Design.
