An Award Winning Company with a Losing Website

PACE Construction takes great pride in delivering award-winning, customer-focused, quality driven heavy highway construction projects. (Yeah, it’s a mouthful.) When they realized that their website was not up to the task of showing off their accomplishments, they knew it was time for an upgrade. PACE Construction needed a website that could achieve the following:

• Provide a modern, cohesive visitor experience, in line with Missouri Petroleum.
• Provide an online application form for streamlined hiring.
• Include quote request forms on each page to the expedite acquisition of new projects.
• Showcase awards and certifications, while being easily update-able (for future accolades).

PACE Construction needed a partner who was equally quality driven and customer-focused. One that they knew could deliver award-winning results. Naturally they turned to MayeCreate Design. Paving Better Roadways for Over 85 Years

PACE Construction is a St. Louis based company known for executing high-quality projects throughout Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Illinois and Indiana. This includes paving and resurfacing roadways, constructing bridges and laying other municipal surfaces like parking lots. Performing jobs for a variety of clients ranging from the Department of Transportation to local municipalities and private companies has made PACE a preferred paving company in Missouri for over 85 years. PACE Construction also owns and operates three asphalt plants in Missouri and, get this — two of them are mobile.

These mobile plants can be broken down and transported directly to client construction sites, radically cutting down on the time and costs involved in moving materials, which saves on project costs and allows critical infrastructure to be ready for use in less time.

Safety is a key value for PACE Construction, and all employees go through many hours of yearly training to ensure worker and project safety. To exemplify this core value we built a page to display this essential point of emphasis. On the Safety page, visitors can read through the extensive list of training PACE is proud to provide. Being able to see these safety requirements and certifications is a big plus for a prospective client.

Highly Recognized

PACE also takes great pride in their awards. They have received many accolades throughout the years for their exceptional projects and high company ratings. Another website page was built to showcase these many achievements, which are presented by the year and the organization that hosts the award. Each entry can be clicked to reveal the project and scope for which they receive the award. 

Always Recruiting

Talented and capable individuals make PACE the company it is, but they are always looking to fill new roles as they diversify and grow. The new Employment page features an embedded email link for resumes, and an online application form. Interested prospects can submit an application on their desktop or phone, removing one more barrier to employment. This saves time for both applicants and human resources, and not just for hiring. It cuts down on onboarding time, enabling new employees to move on quicker with critical training.

Sharing Connections

Finally, as a proud leader within their industry, PACE Construction wanted to share their affiliates with their visitors. Towards the bottom of each page, there is a slider that cycles through the logos of companies they work with, as well as organizations that they are a part of. This lends credibility from PACE and provides a helpful resource for visitors. These logos can be clicked on to allow the viewer to visit the companies’ respective websites. The PACE Construction site is the top referral source for their affiliated websites, which is a great way to integrate services and drive increased traffic to their other divisions.

• Safe Site Plan
  The new PACE Construction website is enrolled in our Company Safe Site Plan, meaning we’ve enhanced the site in an effort to offensively protect it from hackers. We backup the site daily, maintain regular WordPress and plugin updates, and monitor site activity and link function.

• Updates & Ongoing Maintenance
  It’s imperative to keep content fresh with regular updates to keep clients and prospects interested. With their website completed, we help PACE Construction stay on top of their game by performing requested updates and changes to the website as requested.

• Embedded Map
  An embedded Google Map can be found on the Contact page. This map shows all three locations in Missouri, including where the mobile asphalt plants are kept during their down time. Visitors can follow this embedded map out to Google’s app, where they can get directions.
