You will start with a ready-made, all set up site and we’ll guide you through customizing it to make it your own.

You don’t have to write every word (unless you want to).

We write for nonprofit websites every day so we made fill-in-the-blank templates for you to start all your pages from. AND that same text will already be the site ready for you to edit.

You don’t have to design every page (unless you want to).

The pages in your ready-made site will be outfitted with designs just for nonprofits. All you have to do is switch out photos and colors to make it your own. Of course we’ll show you how to do more but if that’s not your jam, then you can just plug and play!

You don’t have to learn any code.

We’ve been training our clients to update their own websites for over 17 years, that’s hundreds of websites. And less than 5 of them know how to code. We’ll show you how to use the drag and drop editor to modify your pages and make updates on your own.

You can do the trainings live or work at your own pace.

We’ll have approximately 1 hour of live training each week so we can answer questions immediately for those who need it. Then we’ll break those trainings into small segments and upload the videos for you use at your own pace.

What does a guinea pig have to do other than learn and make a great website?

  • We will hang out one-on-one via zoom after each module and we will also send a survey to get feedback about how the module went to learn what we can do to keep your spirits up and your site progressing.
  • After completing your website we will do an exit interview to learn where we can improve the program and grab a positive snippet about your experience to share as a testimonial for our program.

*In all fairness we’ve only really had one guinea pig, Fluff Fluff, and he was actually Monica’s daughter’s pig. But we promise to take good care of you anyway!

Web hosting is the place where all the files of your website live. It is like your website’s home. A good way to think about this is if the domain name was the address of your house, then web hosting is the actual house that address points to. All websites on the internet need web hosting.

To roll up your site with all the fancy fixins you have to host it with us to start. If you’re savvy enough to figure out how to move it after it’s all done then more power to you. Give me a shout and we can work something out. But I know you’re going to love our hosting so much you won’t ever want to leave!

I’m going to shoot straight here. We host hundreds of websites. So we have to have a good service provider. If I had websites breaking down right and left I could never make a living.

We contract with a hosting provider who specializes in WordPress sites. Their service is slightly more expensive than others because every hosting account comes equipped with:

  • Automatic software updates (which keeps you site from getting hacked).
  • Automatic site back ups.
  • HUMAN BEINGS WHO ANSWER THE PHONE.
  • Fast site load time.
  • Security certificates.

And here’s the kicker. You get to call us.

If something goes a miss with your hosting you call MayeCreate and we’ll fix it for you. You don’t have to deal with it on your own.

Are all cookies created equal?

It seems like they should be. They’re all just a combo of flour, eggs, butter and sugar and yet they all come out different.

WordPress sites are just like cookies.

They’re each made by a different baker.

So while the ingredients are the same they can all be used differently and the functionality of the end product is largely dependent on the person who lays the ground work for the site.

We build sites so you CAN take care of them on your own. Because we love building sites – not being responsible for every single little thing on them.

We built our nonprofit site ground work with nonprofits just like you in mind. And we start every custom nonprofit website we build on the exact same platform you’ll be using to create yours.

So no, the website you build in our program will not be just like the one you have. Because if we baked crappy cookies no one would come back for seconds. So we carefully craft our website structure to satisfy your needs and allow it to scale as your nonprofit grows.

The only mandatory annual cost is webhosting. You will be responsible to pay for hosting each year, $240 per year.

If you choose to enroll in our optional Safe Site Program you will be billed an additional $300 per year.

If you would like additional tier 1 website support after launching your website you can opt-in to our support package for $300 per year.
