I got my first year end giving letter this week from Alternative Community Training in Columbia, MO! Shout out to them for being on the ball with your year end fundraising efforts! For those of you who might be feeling a bit behind or overwhelmed I want to share this great example as a reminder of where to start with your year end activities. And break it down for you into 3 easy steps!
1. Assess what you have.
You always start where you are, regardless of how long you’ve been around. Where are you right now, what do you have that will allow you to connect with people? Remember we build our plan around our assets and our strengths! What assets do you have that you can use to reach people?
2. Recycle.
Give yourself permission to say the same thing twice. If the message worked the first time, then use it again. Pull from past successes, if it’s not broken…don’t fix it!
3. Start with your big rocks.
Build the biggest thing first. Then break it into pieces to use in the rest of your marketing. Doing the heavy lifting first allows you to repurpose all that hard work into the more tedious day to day communications to spread your message.
Who Manifested This Madness?
This fabulous human, that's who.
