To create a link to an email addresses type in: <a href=”mailto:email@emailaddress.com>Email Address</a>So just put mailto: in front of the email address in the link field.

Make sure there is no space between the email address and the mailto: that will make the function break in some browsers.

How do I do this in your editor?

To do this in a content managment system or blog such as WordPress do the following:

  1. Click on the “Insert/edit link” icon
  2. Type in mailto: followed by the desired email address with no spaces in the two in the link URL field
  3. Click insert
  4. Test the link on your public site to see if it works!
